Che cos’è il populismo, termine che viene evocato ormai da anni in modo ossessivo? Alcuni lo usano come epiteto offensivo, altri lo rivendicano come una medaglia di cui andar fieri[1], altri ancora lo definiscono come un nuovo spettro che, dopo il comunismo, si aggira per l’Europa.

La inquietud de los llanitos

Pocos territorios tan pequeños han sido tan relevantes a lo largo de la historia. Una pequeña península de menos de 7km² dominada por un peñón de poco más de 400m de altura. Un macizo de roca calcárea formada hace unos 200 millones de años que hace de puerta del mar Mediterráneo. Un enclave de suma importancia estratégica y militar en la que los británicos excavaron una red de túneles temiendo una invasión por parte de las potencias del eje. Throughout history there have not been many small territories so outstanding.

A small peninsula with less than 7km² dominated by a 426 meters high rock. A calcareous massif formed around 200 million years ago at the door of the Mediterranean see. A travel to Europe from 1957 to 2017: 60th anniversary bring back us to Rome again…

“All roads lead to Rome”

Since the monarchic period until the Imperial age, the Roman Forum has been the hearth of the city. The whole Europe looked at it as a reference point.

Magnificent temples, basilicas, Roman Senate, Emperors’ palaces were gathered in few meters.

A lot people used to come to Rome, many roads were spreading to all quarters, they arrived from the green lands of Sannio to Constantine’s Arch, from Spain to Jupiter’s temple, from Palestine to Massenzio’s basilica.
